At TriGuard, we believe in the importance of supporting initiatives that foster inclusivity and strengthen communities. As part of our corporate social responsibility, we are proud to be the official sponsor of the Special Needs Activity Group (SNAG)—a well-established monthly event providing a welcoming space for individuals with additional needs.
Founded in 1993 by Carole Perkin and her late husband, SNAG has been a cornerstone of the local community for over 30 years. The event provides a safe and inclusive space where individuals of all ages with additional needs can come together to enjoy music, food, and social interaction.
From its inception, Carole and her husband dedicated themselves to ensuring SNAG remained a consistent and welcoming event. Thanks to their commitment, SNAG has grown into a well-loved community gathering, with upwards of 100 attendees each month.
Carole and her team of volunteers work tirelessly to prepare the space at their local community hall, providing food and drinks for everyone who attends. Many participants have been part of SNAG since childhood and continue to attend well into adulthood, demonstrating the lasting impact of this initiative.
For over two years, TriGuard has been the official sponsor of SNAG, providing financial support to help sustain its monthly gatherings. Our recent visit reinforced the importance of this initiative, allowing us to witness firsthand the positive impact of the event and the dedication of Carole and her team in ensuring it continues to thrive.
As a leading security provider in the supported housing sector, we are committed not only to safeguarding properties but also to contributing to the well-being of the communities we serve. Through TriGuard Communities, we actively invest in and support local initiatives that have a meaningful impact.
SNAG’s resilience—particularly through challenges such as the COVID-19 pandemic—highlights the importance of sustained community support. We remain dedicated to working alongside Carole and her team to ensure SNAG continues to serve the community for years to come.
